Amina is on a mission to put an EV charger at every destination. It’s a small but crucial step towards a world with emissionless vehicles. We started Amina because we saw a great gap in the EV charging market for people who wanted a high-quality charger without a premium price tag.
After a successful launch in Norway, we are ready to bring Amina to the Swedish people. In short, this is a unique opportunity for the right person to shape and own how we do business in Sweden.
From day one, you will be entrusted with defining our business plan for Sweden. You will create and manage Amina’s growth machine: from sales (distribution channels, business development, strategic partnerships, partner marketing) to daily operations (budget planning, hiring, HR etc).
And yes, we are fully aware that this is “way more than one job”. That’s why you will also get the opportunity to build a team of world-class specialists in everything related to the business as we grow. But you will have to be hands-on until that team is complete.
- Launch and grow the sale of Aminas EV-charging hardware to sales channels within Sweden.
- Prepare and mature the Swedish market for the future generation of EV-charging hardware produced by Amina, including finding and securing new sales channels and partners
- Ad hoc assignments in relation to ensuring Amina becomes successful in the Swedish market
You will be responsible for training and developing the Swedish team. You will create enthusiasm, commitment and help develop a powerful culture where company values are central.
Full P&L Responsibility
The Country Manager will have full P&L responsibility for the Swedish business. There will be close collaboration and support from the Amina team in Norway, but you will have responsibility for growing a scalable business.
There are huge opportunities in the Swedish market for Amina’s solutions. You will be proactive in finding new opportunities and developing new and existing partnerships through a selected number of channels
The Country Manager will provide commercial leadership for the Swedish market (B2B). You will lead and develop a sales team, defining sales goals and measurement parameters based on overall objectives. You will assist with design and content for commercial agreements as well as launching new services and products.
You’re obsessed about people and culture. After all, these are the most important aspects of the company.
You have lots of empathy. You can really connect with people at every level of the organisation and across every team.
You’re passionate about developing yourself and others. You have a growth mindset and you’re continuously curious yourself. Plus you are willing to invest the time and effort to help others to learn and grow - not only your direct reports, but your peers as well.
You have a personal track record of building and managing high performing teams and leading a business function You’ll have led teams at other companies which set a new performance bar for other teams in the organisation, or provided the blueprint that other functions learnt from or copied.
You have experience of working in other high-growth companies. It doesn’t matter which sector(s) you have worked in previously (no experience in electronics? That’s fine); what’s more important is that you have worked at different organisations in terms of size, culture, management challenges, etc., and you thoughtfully distil what you have learnt and apply it to achieve great results here.
You’re naturally curious, keen to learn new things, and explore ideas. If you already have a preset idea of what you think “a great people strategy” is then you’re probably not the right fit for the role. We’re not after a plug-and-play strategy, but we want someone who will really get under our skin, understand us and help to build on our strengths and address any weaknesses that will help us become the best team possible.
